The Battle Mountain High School track and field team concluded its regular season with a short trip this past Saturday to Winnemucca for the Lowry Invitational. Sean Bengoa was second in the 100-meter dash and high jump; Nolan Chopp was the runner-up in the discus and third in the shot put. Zach Duggan was second in the 100-meter hurdles. Blake Stuart added third-place finishes in the high jump and triple jump Jolena Ayers finished  second in the triple jump, third in the 1,600 meters  and fifth in the 100-meter dash. Bailey Elderkin and Lindsey Bleak were third and fourth in the triple jump and Tessa Ostler placed fourth in the 400 meters. Jennifer Galvin and Yezzel Guizar placed third and fifth in the shot put. Battle Mountain heads to Reed High School in Sparks this weekend for the Northern 2A Regional Championships.
