After a couple month delay to start the season, the Winnemucca Ladies Golf Club held their first tournament of the year on Tuesday, May 5.

Fifteen ladies turned out for the Gross & Net tournament that was led by Vicki Celio with a low-gross score of 94 in the first flight.

Terri Kracw was low net in the first flight at 72 and Di An Putnam was second (77).

Carole Doughty was low gross in the second flight with a score of 104. Lori Mitch was low net at 75 and Lorene Rushinhall and Marlea Pointer tied for second at 80.

Maria Bengochea was low gross in the third flight with a round of 123. Mary Lou Curti was low net at 81 and Laurie Pickett (88) was second.

Doughty and Kracaw had the fewest putts at 31.     

The ladies were back on the course on Tuesday, May 12, for the Pro’s Posse tournament.

Kracaw was low net in the first flight with a 71, while Gail Piquet (78) and Celio (84) were second and third, respectively.

Pointer was low net in the second flight at 73 and was followed by Doughty (90) and Pickett (81).

Jerry Ann Fenkell was low net in the third flight at 71. Gail Janhunen and Bengochea tied for second at 76.

Mitch had the fewest putts with 27 and Mitch, Femkell and Pointer had chip-ins.
