WINNEMUCCA — The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) invites the public to the Winnemucca Local Work Group Meeting on Thursday, Nov. 19, from 1 p.m.-5 p.m. 

Participants can attend at the USDA Service Center in Winnemucca at 3275 Fountain Way. 

Due to COVID, there is limited seating and those wanting to attend in person must RSVP by Nov. 18 at: 775-623-5025 Ext. 101.

The Local Work Group provides a forum for partners, and farm, ranch, and forestry representatives as well as conservation groups to discuss natural resource problems that should be prioritized by NRCS. 

The group assists in guiding NRCS where to use Farm Bill funds for technical and financial assistance in the future. 

The Local Working Group identifies priority resource concerns and as appropriate, high-priority areas that need assistance.
