Lowry baseball team takes two-of-three games from Dayton road trip

The Lowry High School baseball faced a tough test this past week, playing a three-game series in four days against an undefeated Dayton squad.
All three games were played in Dayton, as Lowry hosted a track meet on Saturday and the Dust Devils were not able to travel to Winnemucca on Friday.
Hammond named a nominee for Burlsworth Trophy

Nevada senior defensive lineman Sam Hammond has been named a nominee for the 2020 Burlsworth Trophy, which is presented annually to the most outstanding football player in America who began his career as a walk-on and has shown outstanding performance on the field.
Hammond is one of 67 student-athletes nominated from Division I FBS schools from across the country and is one of nine from the Mountain West.
In the award’s 11th year, the trophy is named in honor of Brandon Burlsworth, former University of Arkansas walk-on and All-American offensive lineman.
Beyond Revs Pro Shop wins 2019 Bad Boys tournament

Beyond Revs Pro Shop from Salt Lake City, won the 2019 Bad Boys Tournament held May 17-19 at Spare Time Bowl in Winnemucca.
The Winnemucca Inn provided $2,800 in prize money and Winners Inn contributed $1,000. Over 100 bowlers, with 94 of them from out of town, including California, Utah and Idaho. A total of $13,000 in prize money was awarded.
