The 38th annual Winnemucca Basque Festival took place this past weekend at the Winnemucca Convention Center with dancing, food and games. The Winnemucca Irrintzi beginners, intermediate, advanced and adult dancers performed for the crowd. Dancing groups from Spring Creek/Elko and Reno also entertained those in attendance. In addition to dancing, for those on the competitive side there were games including the jota contest, tug of war and bota contest.
