Jerry Greene
Jerry Greene
Jerry Greene, 62, of Imlay, Nevada, entered eternal life with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on September 12, 2022.

He was riding his ATV in the mountains, something he loved to do.

Jerry was born on November 1, 1959 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to Noel and Margaret Greene. Jerry was raised in Norwalk, California and in 1976 joined the Army.

He was stationed in Germany.  In 1982 and after the Army, Jerry moved to Imlay, Nevada and went to work at Humboldt Drilling.

He later worked for Winner’s Inn and Casino and Maga Trucking, before settling into the mining industry as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Florida Canyon Mine for the last decade or so, until his passing.

Jerry’s passion and true calling, however, came around the year 2000, in Imlay, after he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and became a teacher and preacher at the Imlay Baptist Church.

Jerry loved teaching and spreading the word of The Bible.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Noel and Margaret Greene, brother Michael Greene and nephew Cole Hatcher.

Jerry is survived by his best friend and loving (and although she will disagree, Beautiful) wife Sherry Ann Greene, son Michael, grandchildren Noela, Brendan and Cordelia, daughter Raylene, daughter Terra, grandchildren Ashley, Devin, Johanna and Gabe, son David (Meghan), sister Diane (Frank) Ledesma, nephew Matthew, nieces Nicole and Monica, brother Brian (Melissa) Greene, nephews, Jake, Mitch and Nick and niece Erica, brother Darrel (Tanya) Greene, niece Tia (Mike).

Jerry was a very kind, loving and Godly man who was taken from this world too soon.

We know he is present with the Lord and doing wonderful things beside him.  He will be dearly missed by all.  Rest easy, Jerry, we love you.

A celebration of life is scheduled for November 4, 2022 at the Imlay Baptist Church.  Time to be determined.

Sherry and family would like to extend their utmost gratitude for all the kindness and condolences shown to them.

Sherry has a very large, loyal, loving and protective dog at home so would like to request no visitors or deliveries, unless prearranged.

The thing most needed, and very much appreciated, is to keep Sherry and family in your prayers during this difficult time.
