Evelyn Lossing Crutcher born March 27, 1921 to Effie Bobb and Harry Lossing in Fort McDermitt, Nev., entered eternal paradise on October 28, 2019 in Winnemucca, Nev.

Evelyn lived all her life on the Fort McDermitt Indian Reservation as a homemaker to her family. 

In her past time, she loved to play cards with her friends, complete word search puzzles, and paying patronage to casinos in the Winnemucca area. She also enjoyed watching her grandchildren participate in sports, watching the NFL and professional wrestling on TV. 

Evelyn’s passion was to dance and compete in the powwow circle throughout Indian Country where she met many people she claimed as extended family. She loved her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who kept her young at heart.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sons, Harold Lossing, Wayne Crutcher, and Lloyd Lee Crutcher; daughters Verna Mae Crutcher and Leah Crutcher; brothers Irvin Jimmy, Weldon Lossing, and Edgar Lossing; sisters Ruby Lossing, Irene Lossing Jack, Della Lossing, Lucille Lossing Pete, and Laverne Lossing Williams.

Evelyn is survived by her daughters Eleanor Crutcher, Myra C. Smart, and Phoebe Crutcher of Fort McDermitt, and Elvarine Crutcher of Winnemucca, Nev.; sons, Lowell D. Crutcher and Tim (Joyce) Crutcher of Fort McDermitt, Loren L. Crutcher of Owhyee, Nev., and her only surviving sibling, Rosie Lossing Crutcher of Fort McDermitt, Nev. She has many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extensive family.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the McDermitt Community Hall with interment at the Fort McDermitt Indian Reservation cemetery and finishing with traditional feed following burial.
