Edward R. Evans was born in Kansas City, MO on February 12, 1940 and passed away April 8, 2020 in Mount Vernon, WA. 

Ed grew up in both the Bay area of California and on his family’s farm in Missouri. Ed and his wife, Barbara, were long-time residents of Winnemucca, NV until her passing in 2009. 

Through his business, Evans Masonry, Ed laid block and put brick as well as rock facings on many homes and buildings in Winnemucca, including the Red Lion Inn, where he built the fireplace, and the Humboldt Museum. 

The quality of Ed’s work and attention to detail were well known in the community. 

Ed is survived by his brother Bill Evans in MO, sons Edward A.C. Evans, John Evans, and Luis Landa, and his daughters Jeanette Evans and Kathleen Evans-Barnes. 

He is also survived by his grandchildren Ray, Mary, Barbara, Chris, Joey, Edward, Casey, Alex, Lily, Arianna, and Laryssa, and his great-grandchildren Nicholas, Rayna, Aellie, Kyra, and Ewan. 

He will be much missed for his wry sense of humor, his honesty, and his pride in his family.
