 Heaven received another angel.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend, Tyler Mathew Jackson, January 7th, surrounded by loved ones.

He was born on July 31st, at Humboldt General Hospital to Charlie M & Carla S Jackson.

Tyler, as a child and adult was full of life and laughter. He never knew a stranger, and everyone was his friend.

He grew up loving all sports but especially playing and watching basketball, baseball, and football as a kid with his big brother Charles, they were very competitive.

The Celtics, Cowboys and the Yankees were Tyler’s teams and he supported them proudly.

Tyler also enjoyed many other activities in his adulthood.

Whether it was playing basketball, bowling, golfing, or his true passion, teaming up with his cousin and best friend, Steve, playing horseshoes and Tyler entering and winning the World Horseshoe Championship for his division, held here in Winnemucca.

He loved attending concerts and fishing, hiking with his loyal companion and buddy, his dog, Jeter.  Most of all just spending time Barbecuing and visiting with friends and family, as we all loved the stories he would tell, or as we affectionately called them, Tyler’s Tall Tales.

He was always there at a moment’s notice for his Aunt Delphine, who loved laughing as he enjoyed sharing his jokes and stories and entertaining her.

Tyler had many different jobs in his lifetime, but his favorite, by far, was delivering meals to the seniors.

He would help sweep off their steps in the winter, sit and visit when they were lonely and do handyman work if they would ask.  It always put a smile on his face to help them out.

Tyler was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Carla, his Uncle Bernie, Aunt Linda, Sally and Zelma.

He is survived by his brother, Charles Jackson, Niece and Nephews, Nick Jackson, Raven Black and Colton Black, Aunt’s, Delphine, Gayla and Catherine and numerous cousins and his best friend Jeter.

A Celebration of life to be announced later.
