Maria Gallarzo Guerrero
Maria Gallarzo Guerrero passed away on July 1, 2021, at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on November 20, 1938, in Mesa de Navar, Durango, Mexico to Jesus Gallarzo and Maria de la Cruz Herrera.

She grew up in Mexico with her 5 siblings and parents.

She married the love of her life, Victorio Herrera Guerrero on April 16th, 1959.

They shared 62 wonderful years and 3 beautiful children together.

Maria moved from Mexico to Winnemucca, NV alongside her husband, to work on the railroad.

In Winnemucca, she worked as a housekeeper at the Star and Red Bull.

Maria was a member of the Catholic Church. She was a wonderful gardener, cook and seamstress.

If you left Momma G’s house hungry that was your fault – Momma G fed all the kids in the neighborhood.

She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, Maria and Victorio’s home and hearts were open to so many!

They loved all the people in their lives, and they felt blessed to have known them all!

Maria is survived by her 3 children, Victor Guerrero, Fidel (Brigitte) Guerrero and Ana Majalca. Grandchildren, Yvanna Espana, Vanessa Mollis, Lucy Majalca, and Tyson Baslee. Several great-grandchildren. Her siblings, Juanita Garcia, Carmen Herrera, Juana Garcia, and Cruz Herrera. She is also survived by so many nephews, nieces, cousins, and all that knew her as “Tia”.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Victorio Guerrero. Her parents, Jesus and Maria De La Curz Gallarzo and her sister, Tia Santo.

Mass and Burial will be held in Mesa de Navar in the coming weeks.

The Guerrero Family would like to thank first and above all, like a daughter, Noemi Diaz, and Ari Diaz for the 24/7 care for Maria. As well as Guiding Light Hospice and Humboldt Volunteer Hospice, Cindy.
